1. Before 1837, the majority of the parishes in Warwick came under the Consistory Court of Lichfield (see Stafford) and the Consistory Court of Worcester (see Worcester). The map for Warwick in The Phillimore Atlas and Index of Parish Registers shows the division between these two consistory courts. Warwick was under the Consistory of Worcester from 1837-1857.
2. The exceptions to the above include 8 parishes and 1 manorial court that will be found in the consolidated index for Lichfield Peculiars (see Stafford), 5 manorial courts on the border of the two consistory courts that are grouped in (A) another consolidated index, and (B) 2 peculiars in the South surrounded by the Consistory of Worcester.

1. 1675-1790, (FHL 942 B4b) and (BYU CS 434 .B7), volume 7
   This is volume 7 of the Index Library series (BRS). It was published in 1892 and its coverage for these courts ends in 1790. Accordingly, the microfilmed calendar should always be searched as well. Both are combined indexes. The printed portion will be found on pages 531-536 of volume 7. The coverage is as follows:

Balsall (Temple Balsall), Original Wills/Administrations/Inventories, 1652-1854, is item 1 of FHL film 576945.

Barston, Original Wills/Administrations/Inventories, 1675-1857, has been filmed twice. The first filming is on FHL film 189652, and the second is item 2 of FHL film 576945.
