Warwick (WAR)
Jurisdictions
- Before 1837, the majority of the parishes in Warwick came under the Consistory Court of Lichfield (see Stafford) and the Consistory Court of Worcester (see Worcester). The map for Warwick in The Phillimore Atlas and Index of Parish Registers shows the division between these two consistory courts. Warwick was under the Consistory of Worcester from 1837-1857.
- The exceptions to the above include 8 parishes and 1 manorial court that will be found in the consolidated index for Lichfield Peculiars (see Stafford), 5 manorial courts on the border of the two consistory courts that are grouped in (A) another consolidated index, and (B) 2 peculiars in the South surrounded by the Consistory of Worcester.
